Assigning a Domain Name to a Web Host

To use your domain name for a website, it has to be assigned to the nameserver of your website hosting company. You will need the primary and secondary nameservers to "move" your domain name to your web host. This is a routine matter – your web host can provide you with its nameservers. A typical nameserver takes the form of ns1.authorsguild.net.

When you have the primary and secondary nameservers of your web hosting service, email the information – along with your name and the domain name – to webservices@authorsguild.org, and we'll promptly move your domain name to your hosting company.

Please note that even after your domain name is "moved" to your web host, your domain name registration remains in your control through the Authors Guild.
