Domain Name Registrar Transfer

What is a Domain Name Transfer?
You may use the domain name transfer process to submit a request for a domain name transfer from another ICANN-accredited registrar to us. Transferring a domain name to us means that you are choosing us as the registrar of record for that domain name, allowing you to take advantage of our wholesale pricing for domain name registration and renewal. Unlike other registrars, we keep your contact information private.
What does it cost?
Transfers cost $18 per domain name and automatically extend your registration by one year from its current expiration date (you may extend your registration further after the transfer is complete by using our renewal form).
Criteria:

In order to qualify, the requesting member must meet the following criteria:

  • Your membership must be in good standing.
  • The domain name must relate to your work as an author (author names, titles, series titles, character names and works in progress are acceptable).
How the process works:
Fill out the online form to request a transfer, and we'll send you more information about the next steps you'll need to take to proceed with the transfer. There are a few things that you'll need to do with your current registrar in order to prepare the domain name for transfer. Please note that domain name transfers can take up to 2 weeks to go through so if your domain name is coming up for renewal, we'd recommend you renew it with your existing registrar first.

Possible reasons we may be unable to process a transfer include (but are not limited to):

  • You are not the Registrant, Administrative Contact or Technical Contact
  • The name has been registered less than 60 days
  • The name is not registered with an ICANN-accredited registrar
  • The Administrative Contact of the domain refused the transfer request
